Three Orlando residents — a harpist, a photographer, and a magician — came together to make about their city’s response to the horrific attacks last weekend and to support the record-setting fundraising initiative for victims and families.
Said : "My instinctive response when faced with destruction is to create; to make something no matter how small. Our city was hit hard on Saturday night; it has been amazing to see the sense of connection and community that has blossomed here in the past few days. These deepened connections stand in direct defiance of the violent attempt to divide our community."
One viewer wrote on Facebook: "This is beautiful. And it's the first time a magic trick has made me cry...a transcendent message of hope during this ugly time in our history. And that truly is the stuff of magic."

50 Years of 4th of July Patriotism in Culver City

Monday July 4th, the Exchange Club of Culver City will host its 50th annual Fireworks Extravaganza. Gates open at 4pm. The event is co-sponsored by the City of Culver City, Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas and West Los Angeles College. Along with an aerial fireworks display, the event will include a “Kids Zone” with carnival games, a dozen gourmet food trucks, a barbecue, live entertainment and a mega-raffle with more than 65 prizes – grand prizes including a luxury Las Vegas vacation and a big screen television.
The special focus of this year’s event will be the plight of America’s military veterans. 2016’s special musical guest will be the New Directions for Vets Choir – a finalist on T.V.’s America’s Got Talent. The 2016 Fourth of July Color Guard will be drawn from the ranks of veterans who have served our nation in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq....

Sri Lanka-born singer-songwriter Getiey is announcing the release of a new video single titled “I Don’t Care.” The video is now available for viewing worldwide .
“I Don’t Care,” released by Nelkard Records, is a song about how life is unfair to some people and how they might feel about it. The simple melody features a mellow keyboard track overlaid with gentle acoustic guitar and a looped drum track, all providing a melancholy backdrop for Getiey’s heartfelt vocals. The song is punctuated with a bright pop hook that infuses a musical sense of optimism into this song about life’s injustices.
In the video, Getiey sings from a stool while the footage cuts to scenes of various unfair situations in different locations around the world. As the video draws to a close, a final message is driven home: At end of the day, we move on. “We don’t care.”

Gulf Coast Tractor supports local K-12 private school

Gulf Coast Tractor, located in Land o’ Lakes, FL, donated a front loader to a local K-12 non-profit private school.
Gulf Coast Tractor donated a front loader during Solid Rock Community School’s recent purchase of a Kubuta Bx2370. The front loader, a $2000 piece of equipment, will help the school to maintain the land for their new K-12 campus and prepare it for building in the future.
Solid Rock Community School closed on the nine and half acre property on June 2, 2016. It is located at 3561 Keystone Road, Tarpon Springs, FL. The land originally consisted of four parcels. Three of the parcels were donated by previous owners of the land, Abdi Boozarjomehri and Roy Skelton. Solid Rock purchased the fourth and final parcel.
